A fast-growing fintech startup is looking for a strong Engineering Squad Lead to join a high-impact engineering team building large-scale, AI-driven systems in production.
This is not a classic management role – were looking for someone who leads by building, stays hands-on, and drives technical excellence from within the team.
Responsibilities:
Lead a team of 3-5 engineers while staying deeply hands-on
Own backend architecture and design scalable, production-grade systems
Build and improve distributed, event-driven systems in a high-scale environment
Drive technical decisions, code quality, and engineering best practices
Work closely with product, leadership, and cross-functional teams
Mentor engineers and help grow a high-performing team
Integrate AI tools and workflows into daily engineering processes

Proven experience with system design, architecture, and large-scale production systems
2+ years of team leadership / technical leadership experience
Strong experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka
Experience with MongoDB and PostgreSQL
Hands-on mindset: someone who still codes and leads from the front
Startup mentality with high ownership and fast execution
Daily usage of AI tools such as Claude, Cursor, Codex, and AI-driven automations
