Youll partner closely with our CEO, CTO, and SVP of Engineering, navigating seamlessly across multiple senior stakeholders while driving both local excellence and global alignment. With deep technical expertise in cybersecurity and AI, and strong operational and commercial presence, youll play a pivotal role in building a safer, more human Internet.
This role reports to our SVP & Global Head of Engineering and is based in Tel Aviv.
Responsibilities
Engineering & Technical Leadership
Lead, grow, and mentor a 50+ person R&D team based in Tel Aviv, covering backend, frontend, data engineering, and more.
Set high standards for software design, architecture, performance, and reliability.
Work closely with Product and Research teams to define and deliver on our product roadmap.
Collaborate with global Engineering peers to drive cohesive execution, system design, and technical decision-making.
Drive innovation in AI/ML and modern security architectures, ensuring HUMAN remains at the forefront of defending the internet.
Technical Brand & Thought Leadership
Contribute to HUMANs external technical brand through blogs, conference talks, open-source contributions, or community leadership.
Be a culture carrier for engineering excellence and cross-functional collaboration.
Expand the HUMAN Engineering brand in Israel and globally as a thought leader in cybersecurity and AI.
People & Culture
Act as the GM for HUMANs Tel Aviv site, overseeing operations, culture, and cross-functional collaboration beyond Engineering.
Partner directly with our Senior Leadership Team to strengthen connectivity between Israel and our global organization.
Be a people-first leader: hire top engineering talent, create pathways for growth, and foster a healthy, inclusive culture.
Represent HUMAN Israel to customers, partners, investors, and the broader tech ecosystem – building pride in our site as a global center of excellence.
12+ years of engineering experience, including 5+ years in senior leadership roles managing large-scale, distributed teams
Proven ability to lead and scale engineering organizations (50+ engineers), ideally within cybersecurity, enterprise SaaS, or infrastructure
Deep technical expertise across software development, architecture, cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure), and security
Proven experience leveraging AI/ML, data analytics, and modern security architectures to drive product and platform innovation
Strong track record of partnering closely with Product, Research, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality Enterprise solutions
Fluent in both Hebrew and English, with experience operating in a multinational company environment
Strong people leadership: youve built high-performing teams, developed engineering managers, and fostered inclusive, empowering team cultures
Excellent communication, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a GM-style role, balancing technical leadership and operational oversight
Comfort working with and answering to multiple senior stakeholders (CEO, CTO, SVP-level peers).
