Requirements:
Backend Engineering: 2+ years of professional experience contributing to production-grade backend services. You should be comfortable navigating existing codebases and delivering features independently.
Languages: Experience in at least one major backend language (Go, Java, Python, Rust, C#, or Node.js). While Go (Golang) is our primary stack, we value polyglot engineers who are excited to master Go and write idiomatic, clean code.
Engineering Fundamentals: Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and the basics of RESTful API design. You should have an understanding of distributed systems design.
Quality Standards: A "test-first" mindset. Experience writing unit and integration tests and a commitment to participating in (and learning from) rigorous code reviews.
Cloud & Infrastructure: Familiarity with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Education: B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent technical/military experience.
Advantages
Reliability & Debugging: Experience using observability tools (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus, or ELK stack) to troubleshoot issues in a production environment.
Go Fundamentals: Experience with Gos concurrency model (goroutines/channels) or a strong desire to dive deep into the language.
SaaS Curiosity: Experience working on a multi-tenant product or a keen interest in distributed systems architecture.
AI Interest: Hands-on experimentation with LLMs or an interest in how AI agents are integrated into backend workflows.
