Head of Central Planning (Material Planning)
A leading industrial organization in the defense / advanced manufacturing sector is seeking a Head of Central Planning to lead the material planning domain end-to-end within a complex, multi-interface production environment.
Role Overview
The position is responsible for end-to-end material planning leadership, ensuring production continuity, inventory optimization, and cross-functional alignment across engineering, procurement, projects, and manufacturing units.
Key Responsibilities
– Lead the Material Planning function end-to-end
– Manage MRP runs, generate purchase requisitions and production work orders
– Inventory planning, forecasting, and stock optimization in line with company and division policy
– Full responsibility for the organizational catalog structure
– Manage engineering data transfer processes to production and subcontractors
– Define, optimize, and improve cross-functional processes
– Monitor and manage KPIs: production metrics, inventory levels, critical items, shortages & excess
– Work closely with Procurement, Engineering, Business Units, Project Management, and Manufacturing sites
– Analyze material risks and ensure adherence to production and delivery plans
– Lead and develop a professional planning team
– Daily work with ERP systems, engineering systems, and BI tools
– Willingness to work additional hours when required.

– B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering & Management / Technology Management
– Minimum 3 years of experience in one or more of the following:
– Material Planning
– MRP Control
– Production Project Management
– Industrial Engineering
– Proven experience in direct team management
– Strong hands-on experience with ERP systems and deep understanding of MRP processes.
