Required Vertical Manager, Programming & Tech
Whats the job?
Being a horizontal marketplace that offers a wide range of digital services, the company divides its services into different verticals such as Graphics & Design, Digital Marketing, Programming & Tech, Video & Animation, and more. As the Programming & Tech Vertical Manager, youll be the owner of the Programming & Tech Vertical.
This is a business operations role that sits within the Marketplace division.
In this role, youll be responsible for developing the overall strategy of that vertical, driving innovation and execution across the organization. You will lead the vertical and continually evolve strategy and category expansion.
As the owner of this vertical, you are ultimately responsible for its revenue and growth. You will define the appropriate revenue objectives, and supply and demand requirements, set the right milestones, and lead the execution by driving initiatives across many functional teams. You will have a direct impact on our positioning as the worlds largest marketplace of professional and creative services, in the way the customer experiences our product, and in our overall growth strategy.
What am I going to do?
Vision/Strategy/Planning: Develop a strong understanding of the Programming & Tech Vertical, market, and growth opportunities to develop vision/strategy/action plans to achieve goals. Develop a thorough understanding of the market segment (including seasonality and global business trends/events) and continually monitor competitor/industry developments.
Qualitative and Quantitative Insights: Gather and synthesize insights from buyers/sellers/competition to inform new initiatives across the business.
Revenue Growth: expand the catalog of services within the Programming & Tech Vertical. Collaborate on acquisition/retention/promotion strategies with growth teams on the buyer and seller side. Initiate and support category-specific efforts with the different product teams
Marketplace: Develop appropriate taxonomy and structured data and develop appropriate Marketplace Integrity rules for the Vertical.
Business Strategy: Explore new business models for categories, locate and propose potential partnerships, and push the business on deals that can contribute to the verticals growth, scale and/or efficiency.
Performance: Monitor performance, identify opportunities/gaps against KPIs, and make adjustments.
Competition: Live and breathe your domain – stay up to date on vertical competitors and trends in your industry.

Requirements:
3+ years of experience working at a tech company (preferably – consumer product)
Strong domain expertise in Programming & Tech related fields (Software Development, Website Builders, Mobile Apps, Generative AI, Data).
Experience developing go-to-market strategies in a consumer environment.
Proven track records of cross-functional management, and ability to influence others, with data-driven arguments.
Polished written and verbal communication skills (in both English and Hebrew).
Ability to think both strategically and tactically.
Passionate about the world of AI, learning about different ways that AI affects services in their domain, and using AI tools to do their work more efficiently.
Extremely data-driven – being able to gain insights and action items from large amounts of data to inform strategic choices.
Team player. While this is an individual contributor role, theres a lot of teamwork and your success will depend on your ability to work with other teams.
A leader who is highly results-oriented, and has a strong business acumen to drive the revenue and KPIs targets.
Nice to have: Previous experience with SQL.
