The Technical Product Manager will take a hands-on approach in managing the development and optimization of disposable medical devices.
This role requires deep technical expertise in disposable medical products design, engineering, and manufacturing processes.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the product lifecycle from initial concept through commercialization, including hands-on involvement in design iterations, process improvements, and cost-reduction initiatives.
The position will focus on technical problem-solving, supplier collaboration, and direct engagement in product development activities.
Direct Manager: VP of Product and Program Management.
Responsibilities:
– Product Lifecycle Management: Manage the product lifecycle from concept through to market introduction, ensuring timely development, production, and launch of new products or product improvements.
– Product Development: Take a hands-on role in driving the development of disposable medical devices, to create and refine product specifications, components selections, manufacturing processes and engineering drawings.
– Project management: Manage the abroad manufacturing disposable suppliers through the project period. Collaborate closely with internal multidisciplinary team to ensure products meet performance, quality, and regulatory standards.
– Process Optimization: Work directly with manufacturing and process engineering teams to optimize production methods, ensuring efficient, scalable, and cost-effective manufacturing processes.
– Hands-On Problem Solving: Engage directly with technical challenges, from materials selection to manufacturing issues. Work with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems, ensuring product reliability and quality.
– Cost Reduction Initiatives: Lead hands-on efforts to reduce product costs by analyzing design, material, and production efficiencies. Identify opportunities to streamline production without compromising on quality or regulatory compliance.
– Customer Feedback: Gather feedback from healthcare professionals, distributors, and sales teams to continually refine and improve product design and performance.

Job skills:
– 6+ years of hands-on experience in product development and manufacturing processes within the medical device industry, particularly with sterile disposable or consumable products.
– In-depth technical expertise with a strong focus on hands-on problem-solving, product improvement, and cost reduction.
– Experience collaborating with suppliers and managing technical relationships related to material selection and product components.
– Strong understanding of regulatory requirements (FDA, ISO 13485) and medical device product lifecycle management.
– Willingness to travel internationally as required (approximately 20% of the time).
Computer skills: Full control of all office applications.
Language skills: English – Excellent writing and verbal skills, more languages an advantage.
Personality: Excellent communication and leadership skills, organized, motivated, team player.
