PSS is looking for several Field Service Engineers for the semiconductor industry. A relevant degree in an engineering field is required for this role. We are looking for detail-oriented individuals with technical experience and a high work ethic who seek unlimited opportunity for career growth and advancement. Main Responsibilities: • Performs on-site install, service, maintenance, upgrading and repair of semiconductor processing equipment. • Troubleshoots equipment problems; maintains records and reports as required; coordinates activities with peers, supervisor(s) and customers to minimize equipment downtime and interruptions; orders and installs parts; responds to emergency service calls as required; and, instructs customer operating technicians on system operation and maintenance. • Perform upgrades and modifications to equipment as needed.
Requirements:
* Formal qualification in electronics, engineering, or other applicable field of study.
* Previous experience in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment is a plus but not required.
* Excellent English (Spoken & Written)
* Excellent customer interface skills is required.
* Strong initiative and ability to question incorrect data
* Mechanical and electrical aptitude is required as well as an ability to use appropriate tools.
* Thorough understanding of technical issues involving the maintenance, repair and/or installation of company equipment and company procedures.
* Strong attention to details, precision in execution and documentation
Scope of the job : Due to the nature of the role, there will be a requirement to work shift patterns that includes weekends (working 4 days and then 4 days at home). The position requires a high level of physical activity; therefore, a medical assessment will be conducted prior to employment to ensure minimum requirements are met Good health – the work requires the use of protective measures including breathing systems, requires accessibility to low and high places, and lifting loads up to 20 kg. License to perform electrical work – an advantage. Monthly salary 14-16K including shifts.
