As a Senior Software Engineer within the Platform Infrastructure group, you will architect and develop the foundational Platform that powers all existing and future products. You will tackle the most complex, high-impact engineering challenges that span the entire stack- from low-level system configuration to distributed backend applications. Joining a global team, you will act as a technical lighthouse, conducting deep-dive research and resolving intricate performance and architectural issues that others cannot.
Responsibilities
Architect & Develop: Design and implement scalable, fault-tolerant backend services and infrastructure tools using Python, Docker, and Linux.
Deep-Dive Research: Act as the final escalation point for the R&D organization, diagnosing and resolving complex, ambiguous system-wide performance issues and "unsolvable" bugs.
Platform Innovation: Build long-term infrastructure solutions and internal tools to improve R&D efficiency and prevent recurring technical debt.
Technical Leadership: Drive architectural decisions using telemetry data and collaborate across global teams to coordinate cross-functional engineering efforts.
Requirements:
Experience: At least 6 years of professional experience in Backend Software Engineering, specifically building scalable distributed systems.
Python Proficiency: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience developing core backend applications in Python.
System Knowledge: Proven expertise in Linux internals, Networking, and Docker containerization.
Problem Solving: Demonstrated track record of diagnosing and resolving low-level performance bottlenecks and complex architectural gaps in production environments.
