You and your teams efforts will directly influence the organisations value proposition by ensuring accurate and timely compensation to the workers, supporting a great worker experience, engagement and retention. There will be close collaboration with multiple stakeholders including Finance, Hr Operations, Service Management. You will be the main payroll professional responsible for payroll in Israel.
These are some of the key ingredients to the role:
Act as the main point of contact between the organization and the external payroll provider.
Manage the end to end payroll process for ~400 employees in Israel:
Collect, validate and prepare payroll input to be shared with the payroll provider.
Reconcile payroll data, review and approve provider output to ensure correct processing of the payroll.
Support and manage statutory reporting and payments including ad hoc, monthly, quarterly & yearend.
Manage payroll-related queries through our People Portal, ensuring timely and value-aligned responses.
Act as the main point of contact for all pension providers and processes.
Collaborate with Finance teams and other stakeholders to provide accurate payroll reports and GL outputs as well as various audits.
Ensure compliance by staying updated on payroll legislation, tax and pension laws and contributing to continuous improvement of payroll systems and processes.
Identify and support opportunities to streamline payroll processes and improve efficiency, collaborate on various projects – locally and globally.
Manage vendor relationships: review and approve invoices, raise POs, attend service meetings, collaborate to solve issues and drive improvement.
Proven experience in payroll processing (5 years) and related regulations, with deep knowledge of Israel payroll legislation.
Strong technical skills, including advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and high PC literacy.
Proven ability to accurately process, balance, and reconcile payrolls with a strong focus on data accuracy and attention to detail.
Solid analytical, numeracy, and decision-making skills, paired with strong time management and organisational capabilities.
Experience working with payroll providers, managing compliance, and delivering high-quality service to internal stakeholders – advantage
Experience working with Hilan payroll software – advantage
English proficiency: communication with global teams is required: written and verbal
