What You'll Be Doing:
Own the architecture of switch operating systems, define their long-term vision and path to get there.
Identify and evaluate new technologies, innovations, and differentiators for our solutions.
Lead and guide architects to design networking and routing capabilities on our switches.
Outbound work includes customer engagements, publishing white papers, blogs, RFCs, and conference lectures/BOFs.
Help define a strategic vision for our networking together with adjacent software and hardware architects.
What We Need To See:
B.Sc/M.Sc. Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
12+ years of proven experience in software architecture and management roles.
Expert level knowledge in Ethernet/IP technologies.
Experience in defining cloud data-center network design.
Proven record to stay ahead of technology envelope, dabble into new technologies to develop practical applications and generate innovative ideas.
Clear verbal and written communication with consistent record to build consensus within a large organization.
Ways To Stand Out From The Crowd:
Demonstrated ability to develop networking appliance software.
Experienced with data-center design and technologies.
