We are looking for a talented RF Lab Manager with a can-do attitude to join our growing, highly motivated R&D team. The Lab Manager will work closely with R&D and Production teams to provide testing setups, debug capabilities, and more in our unique environment.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the setup, configuration, and maintenance of all RF lab equipment, including signal generators, signal analyzers, and related hardware.
Manage the day-to-day usage and operation of entire RF labs (involving RF test equipment, inventory, calibration, chambers, ovens, etc.).
Debugging and analysis of RF issues found during research and development phase.
Design and build new lab spaces and RF chambers, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, providing training, support, and performance evaluations.
Develop and document lab procedures, test protocols, and safety guidelines, ensuring consistent and accurate testing
Manage the lab’s budget, including forecasting, tracking expenses, and making cost-effective purchasing decisions for equipment and supplies.
Maintain an accurate inventory of lab equipment, ensuring regular calibration, maintenance, and timely replacements.
Educational Qualifications: A degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or specialized certifications in RF technology are a plus.
Professional Experience: Several years of experience in RF engineering and lab management roles, with a track record of successfully managing lab operations and projects.
RF Engineering Expertise: Extensive knowledge and experience in RF engineering principles, including hands on experience with various signal generations, signal analysis, and RF system design and their applications.
Hardware and Software Skills: Experience with setting up, configuring, and maintaining hardware equipment including PCs, servers, and network infrastructure.
Lab Design and Setup: Experience in designing and setting up new labs, including RF chambers, shielded rooms, and other specialized testing environments.
Compliance and Standards: Knowledge of industry standards and compliance requirements related to RF testing and lab safety (e.g., FCC, CE, ISO).
Budget and Inventory Management: Proven ability to manage budgets, including planning, forecasting, and tracking expenses related to lab operations and equipment procurement.
Procurement and Vendor Management: Experience in procuring equipment and materials, negotiating with vendors, and managing supplier relationships.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with team members, management, and external partners.
Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot equipment issues, optimize lab processes, and address technical challenges.
Flexibility and Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing technologies, industry trends, and organizational needs.
