The opportunity
We are looking for a highly dynamic and motivated Research scientist to join a highly experienced scientific team with state-of-the-art facilities that performs discovery and optimisation of therapeutic antibodies.
The candidate will perform structural biology, protein purification and characterisation workflows to guide selection of antibody candidates towards lead selection.
How you’ll spend your day
You will be joining a team of skilled protein scientists, using state-of-the art tools for structural analysis and analytical assessments to rigorously characterise antibody optimisation candidates.
On a day-to-day basis, you may perform any of the following:
Structural analysis of macromolecules
Molecular modelling of antibodies and antibody-antigen complexes
Multi-parametric assessments for design and optimisations of antibody sequences
Management of CRO activities for biophysical, structural characterisations and structure determination of antigen-antibody complexes
Implement antigen and antibody purifications, analytical characterisations (including thermostability assessment and DLS)
Collaborative engagement with cross-functional teams to communicate project activities and timelines.
Keep up with the emerging trends in the discipline, provide regular updates to key stakeholders through presentations, author reports, and maintain experiment records in a timely manner through the use of electronic lab notebooks.
Train junior staff members as required.
Provide general research/laboratory support, including ordering and maintaining consumables, interacting with suppliers
