Responsibility
As a Play Tester, you will immerse yourself in the game environment, meticulously identifying and documenting bugs, glitches, and issues across various stages and features. Your role involves not only spotting these issues but also providing the development team with detailed steps to replicate and understand them effectively. Clear communication is key as you explain identified issues, along with their context and potential causes, to the programming team. You'll play a crucial role in the bug resolution process, verifying and confirming that reported issues have been successfully addressed after updates. Additionally, you'll ensure the seamless integration of visuals, animations, and features by aligning them with design specifications. Acting as a mediator between game designers and programmers, your role is pivotal in facilitating clear communication and fostering understanding between the two teams. Beyond bug tracking, you will play a proactive role in quality assurance by developing and maintaining comprehensive test documents and checklists, outlining test scenarios, procedures, and expected outcomes to uphold the highest standards in our gaming products.
Bachelor's degree or Courses in Computer Science, Game Development, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Minimum of two years or more experience in manual game testing or a related field.
Strong knowledge and understanding of the Unity game development platform.
Keen attention to detail to identify even the smallest bugs and issues within the game.
Excellent communication skills to convey bug details and information clearly to both game designers and programmers.
Strong problem-solving skills to analyze and understand the root causes of bugs.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including game designers and programmers.
Experience in creating, maintaining, and executing test documents and checklists.
Adaptability to changes in-game features, updates, and development processes.
Deep understanding of gaming culture and a passion for mobile games- Advantage
