The opportunity
The packaging operator is responsible for the set-up, operation, routine maintenance, and cleaning of Packaging Department’s equipment in accordance with applicable cGMPs and SOPs. The packaging operator possesses all of the skills and competencies that are required and also has completed the necessary training.
Shift: 3:15pm-11:45pm
How you’ll spend your day
Set up Packaging equipment and machinery in preparation for the shift
Performs the follow packaging department duties. Here are the details:
Bottles are dumped from box (20 lb.) into bottle unscrambler daily as needed on continual basis.
Powder bag (33 lbs.) or capsules/tablets bag (18-35 lbs.) is dumped into hopper daily on continual basis.
Closures for bottles are dumped into cap hopper (30 lbs.) as needed on continual basis.
Filled bottles are weighed and pushed onto capper and sealed by Sealer machine (automated).
Sealed package of bottles (2.5-4 lbs.) is taken off line and put into shippers.
Filled shippers (30-40 lbs.) are palletized on a power lifter then taken away with a hand/power jack to the warehouse for shipment.
Ensures required routine paperwork is completed in accordance with cGMPs. Completes log book entries; operation and cleaning in a timely efficient manner.
Performs major equipment cleans. Ensures no foreign product remains on lie, i.e. in hoppers, heavy machinery, parts or floors.
Uses computer to review SOPs and to obtain training.
Follows Teva’s Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned or required by business needs.
