The Operational Excellence (OpEx) Lead & Project Manager will support the facilities department, security, other departments, and site leadership teams with the identification, development, and execution of operational excellence/continuous improvement initiatives for Teva’s North America Global Facilities Management (NA GFM) team.
The candidate will drive continuous improvement within Global Facilities Management (GFM) responsibilities by implementing various means to identify opportunities for improvement, aligning identified opportunities within our strategic direction, and developing and managing implementation projects to achieve the desired outcomes.
This position will also play an important role in Teva’s physical security operations to ensure all site security operations function effectively in accordance with established guidelines and policies and by maintaining relationships with internal and external security related stakeholders.
How you’ll spend your day
Oversee, manage, and lead strategic projects (savings initiatives, best practice implementation, opening and/or closure of sites, construction, relocating sites, technology-related projects, etc.).
Develop OpEx project roadmaps and prioritize projects with ambitious targets. Develop implementation plans including projected benefits & outcomes and propose action plans to leadership for review & strategic alignment. Execute approved improvement projects. Work with the NA GFM Team to monitor and measure performance to achieve desired results.
Leverage prioritized projects to deliver improved business performance while increasing skills of NA GFM resources. Track and report on progress of approved projects keeping stakeholders informed and ensuring that expectations are met.
Working with cross-functional teams identify opportunities for OpEx transformation which will result in increased efficiency and performance. Identification of improvement opportunities may come from anywhere, with input commonly coming from: departmental leadership, site operational leaders, corporate leadership, other Teva departments, data analytics, facility users/occupants, other GFM team members, and from suppliers. The incumbent will also leverage their own significant experience and expertise, and industry best practices to drive results.
Support Head of GFM-Americas with the implementation of strategic plans and initiatives. Regular engagement with senior and executive leadership will be a critical function of this role and the incumbent will be required to develop and implement solutions and effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organization.
Desired outcomes include significant positive improvement in: operational efficiencies, customer service, employee engagement, gross margin improvement, sustainability, energy management, safety, quality, compliance, asset lifecycle planning, maintenance optimization, implementation of technology, improved financial management, etc.
Develop and monitor KPI metrics and monitor performance with key suppliers to ensure KPIs are met. Conduct regularly scheduled business review meetings with key suppliers to ensure accountability and drive improvement.
Oversee NA physical security operations to ensure standards are understood and followed and effective.
Develop, implement and maintain a best-in-class Global Physical Security Systems solution across approved platforms, which exceeds compliance requirements.
Lead and develop security management and security service employees to ensure initiatives and commitments are delivered in an effective and professional manner in accordance with Teva management practices and contribute to the company’s goals and objectives. Prepare reports for Management and responds to all inquiries concerning the guards and their performance.
Assist in the development and implementation of security procedures to support, and align with, the Teva North America, and Teva GCS policies and local regulations.
Understanding of CCure 9000, Lenel, Ocularis, Genetec, or other global access and surveillance systems is preferable.
