a global biotech company is looking for a molecular biology protein expert for the R&D team in our life science startup, developing protein-based technology for improvement of human nutrition.
A day in the life of a molecular biology protein expert:
"Working in a small research team, collaborating and brainstorming with team members.
"Designing, executing, and interpreting experiments.
"Producing proteins for use in biochemical assays and structure/function studies.
"Analysis, interpretation, documentation, and presentation of data.
"Contribution to group organization, productivity, and expertise through collaboration and idea exchange.



דרישות:
PhD with relevant experience in Biotechnology, Protein Science, Biochemistry, Molecular & Cell Biology or similar field, (or MSc with 4+ years commercial R&D experience).
Experience in DNA design which will allow expression of the required protein.
" Experience with protein expression in various microorganisms.
" Hands-on experience with molecular biology techniques such as cloning, site-directed mutagenesis, PCR, gel electrophoresis and western blots.
" Experience protein purification, using FPLC (AKTA) systems and purification with various chromatography methods such as affinity, IEX and SEC.
Knowledge in protein structure and function and protein-ligand binding interactions.
Experience in applicative commercial R&D – an advantage.
Industrial protein expression – an advantage.
Strong sense of teamwork and sharing culture.
