Summary of role and team::
Looking for a candidate to join the Engineering R&D team at a leading cultured meat company. The candidate will participate in projects related to the process development of bioreactor-based cultured meat. The projects and experiments intersect the fields of biotechnology, chemical engineering, and cell biology. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and skills from the above fields and will be excited to work on cultured meat. The job is 90% lab-based.
Your day-to-day:
* Assembling and operating benchtop bioreactors of several scales
* Performing daily tests such as cell counting, biomolecule measurements etc.
* Operating bioprocessing equipment such as peristaltic pumps, filters, etc
* Recording and updating experimental data and results
* Analyzing experiments data and presenting conclusions in meetings
* Disassembling, washing, sterilizing equipment.

* Technical orientation- the ability to learn and operate unfamiliar equipment.
* Excel/PowerPoint/Office skills. Nice to Have:
* Experience with aseptic technique / biosafety cabinets.
* Bioreactor experience.
* Cell culture experience.
