In this role in our Platform Engineering group, youll shape how hundreds of engineers work daily, influencing everything from self-service platforms and golden paths to CI/CD pipelines and cloud architecture.
This is a highly impactful role where youll define and drive critical initiatives that truly move the needle.
You will:
Define and promote self-service platforms (Backstage, Helm Charts) and Golden Paths for core services.
Lead the adoption and evolution of developer experience tools like Okteto, SonarQube, LaunchDarkly, and CI/CD pipelines.
Deliver high-quality code libraries (Java / PHP / Ruby), API guidelines, and documentation to accelerate developer productivity.
Be an AI advocate and increase adoption of AI tools in the DevX world, cross-R&D
Empower team autonomy, remove blockers, champion operational excellence, Foster collaboration, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
Architect scalable infrastructure to maximize uptime, reduce incidents, and optimize costs.
Track KPIs and developer satisfaction, and drive continuous, data-backed improvements.

Requirements:
A leader with proven experience mentoring, coaching, hiring, and growing high-performing teams.
An experienced backend engineer (5+ years) in Java, Ruby, PHP, or similar, with deep expertise in OOP, design patterns, and writing clean, maintainable code.
A servant leader who fosters autonomy, promotes Agile best practices, and drives accountability and operational excellence.
Skilled at leading cross-team initiatives, aligning stakeholders, setting clear goals, and delivering measurable outcomes.
Highly proficient in microservices architecture, API-first design (REST, Messaging, Sync/Async), and relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
Experienced (2+ years) with AWS, Kubernetes, cloud-native architectures, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Hands-on with GitOps practices and building CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Jenkins).
Holder of a Bachelors degree in Computer Science (or equivalent).
Bonus Points:
Experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps or Developer Productivity initiatives.
Knowledge of Kafka / MSK / SQS, Spring Boot / Gradle, or Golang.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
Familiarity with NoSQL Databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB).
Background working in global or distributed teams.
