The opportunity
As a Field Medical Advisor Psychiatry you will work in the Dutch (CNS) Medical Affairs team within the Medical organization in Teva Haarlem. You’ll work in close collaboration with Medical Affairs colleagues in Teva affiliates in other countries such as Belgium, the Nordic countries and the Baltics. Your core task will provide medical leadership and product support in local subsidiary in close co-operation with medical colleagues and within defined global product strategies and plans with particular focus on external customer engagement/interactions. In this role you will add value in education and disease awareness for a psychiatric disorder towards psychiatrists, specialized nurses in psychiatry and movement disorder neurologists. Furthermore you’ll provide medical support in the Dutch reimbursement process in order to make future registered treatment options in psychiatric diseases available for Dutch patients. The ultimate goal is a higher quality of life for Dutch psychiatric patients with a substantial medical need.
How you’ll spend your day
Responsible for developing and delivering Medical Strategies and Plan(s)
Provide medical/scientific input to access/reimbursement process & product defence
Attend key medical meetings/conferences to represent the company and ensure that internal knowledge is up-to-date
Contribute in investigator identification and stay abreast of relevant clinical trial activities
Work closely with commercial colleagues to provide expert medical/scientific input to support key products and programmes
Actively look for ideas and opportunities to develop study proposals and to feed them into TEVA Pharma Europe for potential realization.
To develop, cultivate and expand professional contacts as well as in depth knowledge with opinion leaders, nurses and patient organisations in the context of ongoing and planned projects.
Support local compliance activities. Internal and external training and production of necessary training materials, complying with existing legislation
“Horizon scanning” of relevant publications and production of technical bulletins/briefing documents, training programmes, etc, as appropriate
Support for Medical Information Service to ensure provision of accurate information to external/internal customers
The job holder should aspire to divide his/her time approx. 60/40% between external expert facing activities and internal tasks.
