As an experienced engineer in the Customer Failure Analysis team at Western Digital, you will create an impact in the execution of product flow, supporting Western Digital products through performing failure analysis utilizing various systems and components. You will get the opportunity to interface with many other teams and engineering specialties to help solve challenges and further improve our product line.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform system-level failure analysis on customer returns for eMMC/UFS products, with an emphasis on hardware analysis.
Define failure root cause and enhance production flow to improve product quality.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot from system level to component level.
Interfacing with hardware, firmware, process, product, test, and reliability engineering to solve problems.
Provide feedback and clarify issues for customers.
Develop tools, scripts, processes, and/or procedures to enhance the failure analysis capabilities of the entire team.
Must become proficient in a variety of failure analysis techniques and equipment operation: SAT(C-SAM), Thermal Emission, Probing station, etc.
Support lab management activities.
