A Day In The Life Of A Facilities Technician
The Facilities Technician will support the execution of planned and reactive maintenance work for site facilities, buildings and grounds. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, cGMP/regulatory and corporate standards. Implement maintenance plans and support continuous improvements initiatives in order to achieve industry best practice.
Key Responsibilities
Execute planned and unplanned preventative maintenance tasks with support from the Facilities Engineer / Manager.
Read and Implement Standard Operating Procedures and maintain training compliance.
Oversee contractors working onsite, ensuring Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS) are in place and to issue work permits.
Support the implementation of small projects.
Ensure the site compliances with current legislation including Electricity at Work Regulations (IEE), HASAWA, COSHH, PUWER, GMP, GEP, Orange Guide Policies.
Implementing and monitoring all aspects of electrical work on site including, portable appliance and fixed wiring testing & compliance to the current (IEE) regulations.
Respond appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise.
To ensure a high level of cleanliness and housekeeping is maintained throughout the site, making recommendations accordingly.
To provide holiday/sickness cover as required supporting business needs.
Who We're Looking For
Do You Have?
Qualified Electrician, mechanical or technical discipline would be preferable
HNC/HND technical/engineering subject qualification is a minimum requirement
Multi-skilled background (electrical/mechanical)
Previous facilities experience- Such as grounds, water system, heating, gas etc…
Providing experience of operating within a regulated environment such as pharmaceutical would be highly desirable but not essential
