DevOps Architect, Infrastructure Operations is a new role reporting to our Director, DevOps.
We are seeking someone who will design and implement best-in-class designs and practices across the SaaS application and infrastructure to ensure high availability, and reliability of systems and applications, and streamline the workflow of DevOps.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY ROLE:
Define and establish cloud architecture best practices, collaborating with software engineering teams.
Write HLD and LLD technical specs for new features and products
Optimize cloud resources for performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability.
Conduct design and Production Readiness Reviews, ensuring system observability, scalability, and reliability.
Implement robust security measures and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Create technical specs, and documentation, and monitor/troubleshoot cloud infrastructure.
Stay updated on emerging cloud technologies, providing leadership and mentorship to the team.
Act as a thought leader in cloud architecture, contributing to industry forums and guiding internal teams and clients on cloud adoption strategies.
International Travel at least 1x per quarter (As world events allow)
Pager/On-Call Duties which may include nights/weekends

Requirements:
At least 10 years of experience as a Senior DevOps Engineer, or SRE, or Infrastructure Engineer, or Platform Architect, or equivalent
Experience defining a roadmap for organizations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work and coordinate between multiple teams, ability to work independently
Proficiency in Linux
Experience working with B2B/B2C SaaS, live production environments
Extensive experience with Kubernetes – EKS & EKS
Extensive experience with public cloud technologies – AWS and Azure
Experience with Ansible configuration management systems
Experience with Infrastructure As Code such as Terraform
Experience in CI/CD and related tooling (Gitlab and Jenkins)
Experience with Containerization (Docker, K8s)
Experience in one or more of the following scripting languages: Bash, Python
Experience working in a global organization
Fluent in English – working with global teams
Advanced AWS and Azure Architecture Certification is a plus.
