Looking For: Development Associate – Donor Relations & Research
THE ORG: On October 8th, in response to the brutal murder of our dear friend David Newman at the Nova Festival, we opened a WhatsApp group called Lets Do Something. Thats how five bereaved young friends put in motion something they never imagined: A global effort to uplift, support, and empower the citizens of Israel, and people around the world. OUR MISSION: To create a brighter and safer future for Israel by inspiring pro-Israel engagement, enhancing Israels defense capabilities, and serving those who have been affected by October 7th.
SUMMARY STATEMENT: we are an advocacy-meets-action organization aimed at creating a brighter, safer Israel and inspiring others to be the change they want to see in the world. As a development coordinator, you will be responsible for creating and implementing fundraising strategies, organizing events, and cultivating long-term donor relationships. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to our cause.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Understanding Donor Trends: Look through our donor data to spot patterns and key information that can help shape our fundraising efforts and pinpoint who might be interested in supporting our cause. Keep track of these insights and update the team through regular reports.
Prospecting Donors: Use different tools to find new donorslike businesses, individuals, and foundations who might care about our mission. Get to know these potential donors well, figuring out how much they might give and what parts of our work theyre most interested in.
Donor Outreach: Get in touch with potential donors to tell them about what we do and explore how they might like to get involved. Build ongoing relationships with them by keeping them in the loop about our work and how it aligns with their interests.
Creating Engagement Plans: Come up with tailored ways to keep different types of donors interested and involved in our projects. Offer specific suggestions to our team on how best to approach each donor based on what youve learned about them. Tracking Our Progress: Keep an eye on how well our outreach is going by tracking new contacts made, how engaged donors are, and the success of different strategies. Coordinate with other team members to make sure our plans are informed by the latest donor data and are working well.
