As a Database Engineer, you will:
Build and manage large-scale database systems
Work with developers in modeling, creating and maintaining data structures
Assist in R&D of DB-related projects and agendas
Quickly identify and resolve production issues
Help automate and develop our internal systems
Provide on-call support when needed

Requirements:
3+ years of hands-on production experience with Relational databases, for example: MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle
3+ years of hands-on production experience with NoSQL such as MongoDB, CouchDB, CouchBase
Youve also worked with data products on cloud platforms like AWS and/or GCP
Youre a fast learner with high level infrastructure knowledge in Unix/Linux systems
Experience with data architecture, data modeling, performance tuning, high availability, scalability etc.

Youll get bonus points if you have:
Hands-on experience with ElasticSearch
Experience with at least 1 programming language, like Python, GoLang
A passion for automating things – worked with Ansible/ Jenkins/ Puppet/ Chef
Experience with the design of new systems
Experience working with developers and implementing best practices
