What You'll Do
The part you'll play –
Leadership and Strategy:
Lead, develop, and implement the data department and BI projects using SQL, Power BI, and other relevant technologies.
Define the BI roadmap and ensure the delivery of balanced and long-term automation projects.
Create and communicate a data vision that aligns with the company's strategic objectives.
Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Team Management:
Manage and mentor the team leads of data engineering, Power BI, and data warehouse teams.
Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring continuous professional development.
Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team and across departments.
Project Management:
Oversee the development and execution of data projects, ensuring they meet deadlines and business requirements.
Work closely with the tech, product, and project departments to align on company goals and deliverables.
Lead the Analysis department, driving in-depth research into customer behavior and company KPIs.
Technical Expertise:
Ensure the implementation of best practices in Power BI, data modeling, and data transformations.
Implement and manage data governance and data quality frameworks.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Educate different departments on Power BI best practices and data-driven insights.
Support acquisition, retention, marketing, operations, and business development teams with BI and analytics solutions.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment and understanding of data initiatives.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in managing Data and BI developers.
At least 5 years of experience in developer /Data Engineering/BI positions.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering).
Strong background in SQL, Power BI, and data engineering.
Experience in data modeling, data transformations, and data warehousing.
Proven ability to lead and mentor teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience working in a collaborative environment and teaching team members and stakeholders.
Self-driven with a proactive attitude and willingness to put in extra effort.
Knowledge of data governance and data quality frameworks.
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. Azure) and modern data stack technologies (e.g., Snowflake, dbt).
A big advantage: experience in the iGaming industry or other relevant fields.
