The position
Mobileye’s Autonomous Vehicle (AV) group is transforming mobility both by [1] bringing cutting-edge, safe-by-design premium ADAS and self-driving technology as well as a complete, modular solution with flexible business models to the market; and [2] creating an accessible, safe, environmentally friendly, and affordable experience for passengers based on our self-driving technology.
As Mobileye’s AV Field Engineer in Detroit, you’ll wear multiple hats: technical expert, customer advocate, and integration specialist. You’ll provide direct technical support, analysis, and integration expertise for the development of next-generation semi-autonomous driving systems. You’ll represent Mobileye to the car manufacturers and integrator partners (OEMs and Tier 1s), drawing on your technical knowledge and traveling 25% of the time to support customers, mainly in the US, and on an as-needed basis in countries, such as France, Germany, India, Israel, Japan, South Korea, and the United Kingdom.

Job Responsibilities
Install various Mobileye systems on evaluation and development vehicles
Perform and supervising test drives on an open road and test tracks
Conduct long test drives and travel to additional countries as needed
Act as a Mobileye expert to represent the company in customer demonstrations
Collaborate closely with the global AV development, validation, and algorithm teams
Support new systems installation in the vehicle and independently support system integration efforts
Testing and validating end-to-end AV functionality
The position includes office work, support at vehicle production lines and integration facilities
Perform AV test reports, gather results, and upload it to the database
Ability to understand the entire Mobileye system and solve customer problems
Drive the AV in both automated and manual mode on open roads and test tracks
Test performance and quality of the vision system and other sensors
Provide expert support and training for engineering teams on client site throughout the project duration
Inspect and maintain any malfunctions in the test vehicle
Resolve customer issues and maintain positive relationships
Work closely with government officials, DOT, and relevant authorities
Requirements/Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, an exact science, or a related field
3+ years of combined experience in customer-facing roles (support/field engineer) and technical hands-on work
Customer-focused with excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with clients
Valid, clean driving license and record
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and wear multiple hats
Familiarity with wiring and electronics principles
Experience with advanced driving courses (for test vehicles) – an advantage
Experience in hardware or software testing– an advantage
Experience in Linux – an advantage
Experience working in a global team environment – an advantage
Experience working in the Tier 1, automotive, or EV industry – an advantage
