Responsibilities:
Artistic Vision: Develop and communicate a clear artistic vision for the game, considering overall design, aesthetics, and narrative goals.
Team Leadership: Lead and inspire a team of artists, providing guidance, feedback, and mentorship to ensure the quality and consistency of art assets.
Concept Art and Design: Oversee the creation of concept art, character designs, environments, and visual effects to establish the game's visual identity.
Art Direction: Set and maintain the artistic style and direction throughout the development cycle, ensuring it aligns with the game's creative goals.
Collaboration: Work closely with game designers, writers, and developers to integrate art assets seamlessly into gameplay and storytelling.
Technical Oversight: Understand and optimize art pipelines and workflows, ensuring efficient asset creation and integration into the game engine.
Quality Assurance: Conduct regular reviews and critiques of art assets to maintain high-quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
Project Management: Manage art production schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to meet project milestones and deadlines.
Research and Innovation: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and artistic techniques to continuously enhance the visual quality of games.
Client and Stakeholder Communication: Present and defend artistic decisions to stakeholders, incorporating feedback to refine the artistic direction.

Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in game art development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Deep passion and knowledge of gaming in industry from mobile to AAA games.
Strong artistic portfolio demonstrating proficiency in digital art, illustration, and graphic design.
Deep understanding of 3D creation pipeline from concept, 3D modeling, texturing, rig and animation.
Deep understanding of game development processes and technologies, including game engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine).
Expertise and some and theoretical knowledge of other industry-standard art tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter, etc.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate artistic concepts and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Leadership abilities to inspire and motivate a team, providing constructive feedback and fostering a creative work environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
