The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aerodynamics and a proven track record of developing UAS, UAVs, or multirotor drones. Responsibilities: Conduct aerodynamic analysis and simulations to optimize the performance of UAS, UAVs, and multirotor drones.
Design and develop aerodynamic components, including airframes, wings, and propellers.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate aerodynamic solutions into overall UAS/UAV design.
Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in aerodynamics and UAS/UAV development.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and methodologies. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
3-4 years of experience in aerodynamics engineering with a focus on UAS, UAVs, or multirotor drones. VTOL design – an advantage.
Proficiency in aerodynamics analysis tools.
Experience with CAD software for design and analysis, such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or AutoCAD.
Strong understanding of flight dynamics, stability, and control.
Familiarity with UAV autopilot systems and software (such as PX4 or equivalent).
Experience with flight testing and data analysis.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) simulations.
Knowledge of aircraft certification standards and regulations.
Experience with rapid prototyping and testing.
