HMI Engineer / Control Systems Technician
Job Summary: The HMI Engineer is responsible for the overall operation and maintenance of HMI systems at the Institute. This includes:
Troubleshooting
Support and service for the HMI system
Communication with the software vendor
Communication and definition of requirements for the IT department
Changes to the HMI system according to the Institute's requirements
Development of screens and general objects (classes) in the system
Management of security policy in the system
Education and Required Skills:
Software technician or engineer with a professional course in the field – required
Experience in programming controllers and HMI systems – required
Experience with HMI/SCADA CIMPLICITY systems – significant advantage
Knowledge/experience in programming SAIA controllers in particular – significant advantage
Electrical license – significant advantage
Background in programming in high-level languages, SQL query languages, and scripting – required
Background in various communication protocols such as MODBUS, TCP/IP, passive communication infrastructures, familiarity with switches, routers, and information security systems – significant advantage
Knowledge in analyzing reports, drawings, and technical plans – significant advantage
Knowledge of computer hardware – advantage
Experience in supporting manufacturing and control worlds – advantage
Knowledge and experience in the Microsoft environment – advantage
Full proficiency in Hebrew and good proficiency in English (reading and writing)
Ability to learn independently
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
High level of service awareness and interpersonal communication
High personal responsibility, ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Willingness to work beyond regular working hours, as needed
