Developing and managing the core infrastructure and tools required for application development and deployment, such as cloud services, containerization platforms (like Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring systems.
Implementing automation to streamline processes and orchestrate the deployment and management of applications, reducing manual intervention and improving efficiency.
Establishing best practices, standards, and guidelines for development, ensuring consistency, security, scalability, and reliability across applications and services.
Designing the platform to be scalable and resilient, capable of handling increased loads, and recovering from failures without impacting services.
Establishing monitoring and observability practices to gain insights into the performance, health, and behavior of applications and services, enabling proactive issue resolution.
Facilitating collaboration between different teams, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing, and promoting communication to ensure alignment and efficiency in platform engineering efforts.
