Mechanical/System Engineer



General description:
Shamir Optical, a global leader in the ophthalmic industry, is looking for an experienced Mechanical/System Engineer.


This is a great opportunity which allows you to combine technological research & analysis of next generation products, with a strong connection to business and marketing aspects, and a full product lifecycle overview.


Responsibilities:
"Lead the development and implementation of multi-disciplinary systems consisting of electro-optic-mechanical hardware, custom firmware, and multi-platform software.
"Work closely with internal and external teams to define hardware specification and software API for eye-tracking solutions.
"Plan and drive research lab hands on activities – such as prototyping, platforms bring up, performance testing, etc.
"Generate end to end system analysis and research results reports.
"This is a full-time position, working from Shamir.

דרישות:

" B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering.
" System Engineering degree – Advantage.
" At least 5 years of multi-disciplinary development – must include mechanical design.
" High level of problem-solving skills and debugging of high complexity systems.
" Hands-on experience with lab equipment and measurements of physical systems (advantage).
" Experience in electronics, opto-mechanical systems (advantage).
" Fluent English, and excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
