A Day In The Life Of A Facilities Technician
To Install, maintain, examine, repair and monitor all electrical/mechanical aspects of the Site Logistic and Automation systems, Warehouse and offices in a safe and timely manner with due regard to people, materials and equipment, in accordance to Electricity at Work regulations (IEE 18th edition), HASAWA, COSHH, PUWER and GDP.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure that the MFC (Material Flow Control) plant and building are maintained efficiently and effectively, giving speedy resolution of downtime
Implement and monitor all aspects of electrical and mechanical work on site
Oversee any contract work and to issue work permits to all contractors working on site
To ensure all relevant compliances with current legislation
Manage routine maintenance schedules where specified are adhered to, covering MFC and services equipment
Ensure Safe Working Procedures (SWP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) are in place and adhered to
To have due regard for HASAWA, PUWER and Electricity at Work Regulations and to recommend remedial actions as necessary in these areas
Adding accurate data into the Hexagon EAM database in a timely fashion
Treat all information as confidential to the organisation
Carry out any other duties reasonably requested by the Facilities and Site Services Team Lead/Operational Managers
