What you will be doing:
You will be a part of cutting-edge product development teams based in the US, France & Israel.
You will have a direct impact and ability to drive efficiency, excellence and capabilities into our methods and tools, improving the product development. You will have ownership and responsibility for defining and executing processes.
Providing technical guidance and support to Engineering, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing as a Subject Matter Expert.
Creating / reviewing / improving / maintaining our Component Engineering methods, processes and procedures.
Reviewing Electrical & custom engineering component requests to assure they meet requirements; own Components Lifecycle Management.
Conducting and Reviewing component research on equivalent components (2nd Sources) to expand our AVL.
Working with 3rd party OEMs, optics manufacturers, sub-assembly, and custom component manufacturers to ensure products meet quality, reliability, regulatory safety & EMC compliance, and FDA requirements.
Deep experience working with distributors & channels.
Supporting product release processes, ensuring end-to-end BOM Quality from design to Manufacturing.
Performing and reviewing BOM scrubs through the life cycle of the products Identify high risk components & recommend alternative solutions.
Supporting Supply Chain & Contract Manufacturers.
Leading Eng, Supply Chain, and Contract Manufactures to screen & qualify components from open markets & preventing counterfeits in production.
Monitor & track the PCNs from Component Manufacturers, analyze the impact & report findings to Engineering & supply chain for action.
Managing Component Failure Analysis and Corrective Actions with suppliers.
Own & publish the annual conflict minerals report.
What you should have:
B.Sc. in Electrical/Computer Engineering. M.Sc. – advantage.
10+ years of experience as a Component Engineer in the Communication/ RF /Computer/ Networking/ high-tech industry.
Hands on experience with manufacturers in North America, Europe & Asia.
Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and component data sheets.
Understanding of fab processes, assembly processes, design processes, materials, and associated QA and Reliability issues.
Experience in electrical component selection, derating, contract manufacturers (PCBA).
Experience creating qualification plans and obsolescence analyses.
Experience in component reliability, failure analysis or Destructive Physical Analysis.
Experience in collaborating with the ECAD/physical board designers.
Experience with PLM tools (Oracle, Agile, Silicon Expert etc), MSOffice and other desktop tools.
Strong communication skills in English.
Experience working for, or closely with, an IC manufacturers advantage.
In-depth experience with Product Development Processes – advantage.
Proficiency in Mandarin / Korean / Japanese – advantage.
