REQUIREMENTS
In this role you will work closely with Vast R&D worldwide on current and next-generation hardware compute and storage platforms. This includes x86 servers, NVMe SSDs and SmartNIC acceleration.
Principal Duties:
Participating in the design, bring-up and qualification of new leading-edge hardware technologies and platforms.
Day-to-day involvement with a global hardware and software team to improve hardware quality and scalability
Working with hardware suppliers on debugging and solving hardware and software/firmware issues to get to root cause.
Responsible for contributing to products vision and subsequent execution
Provide technical leadership to team members while taking an active part in the team tasks
Assigns tasks, reviews work, and may contribute to employee performance appraisals
Work with internal teams, peers, and customers to understand product requirements thus translating to successful software development.

System-level understanding and ability to do root cause analysis of hardware, firmware, OS and network problems.
Hands-on design or detailed debug experience with 2 or more of the following: x86 servers, BMC, PCIe, SSDs, SmartNICs, and network switches.
Familiarity with scripting languages to automate testing and qualification
Bachelor/Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering or related field
Desired Skills:
At least 2 years as team leader Must
Self-starter, enthusiastic proactive mindset
Knowledge of Linux internals and debugging
Knowledge of Python scripting language
Familiarity with test automation frameworks (Jenkins etc)
Knowledge of PCIe and NVMe standards and debugging issues with PCIe analyzer
Knowledge of server management technologies such as UEFI, IPMI & Redfish
Familiarity with SmartNICs and ARM processors
Knowledge of networking, including RDMA, RoCE, IB.
