We are searching for Implementation Engineer to live in and work from Germany, Israel, or the UK.
Whats the job?
The Billing team build and run the services that ensure our merchants get paid and charged appropriately, working closely with our third-party billing engine provider.
As part of the Engineering organisation, they provide a range of software services, internally- and externally-facing, with React frontends built on top of RESTful APIs provided by Java services, mostly built with Spring Boot.
We’re a primarily distributed group of software engineers, working closely with the product team. Within that, we have a variety of cross-functional teams, each of which owns and maintains a variety of services and apps.
We talk via Slack and Zoom, our code lives in GitHub, our tasks in Jira and our internal documentation in Confluence.
Things you’ll do:
Configuration and development of new or existing features, product functionalities and business objectives on the billing SaaS platform in collaboration with Product Management and other Software Engineers
Development of solution design documents and implementation specifications; collaboration with our platform partner to propagate changes developed in-house to test and production environments
Investigation and resolution of critical problems in test and production environments, including analysis of configurations, data and logs from databases and associated services
Proactive participation in the continuous optimization and enhancement of processes and guidelines
Learn new things and help us learn new things too.

Requirements:
Good command of spoken and written English, our chosen language of communication
Extensive knowledge of payment industry and experience with card transaction processing systems like Way4, TranzWare, SmartVista etc. (Way4 is a plus)
Understanding of back-office transaction processing: billing, settlement, accounting, reconciliation, reporting
Analytical and troubleshooting skills, ability to work with system logs and traces
Knowledge of PL/SQL
