The opportunity
We are seeking a research assistant to join TEVA’s growing speciality R&D, antibody discovery program in Sydney, Australia. You would join the Antibody Generation team in a laboratory-based role focusing on antibody hit identification and optimization.
How you’ll spend your day
This is a hands-on laboratory-based role employing techniques such as:
General molecular biology techniques (e.g. PCR, DNA purification and analysis, DNA cloning)
Protein purification
Development and use of biochemical assays for screening antibody and recombinant protein function (e.g. Biacore -Surface Plasmon Resonance, ELISA, flow cytometry and other immunoassays or screening technologies)
Culturing and transfection of mammalian cell lines
Sequence analysis
Work hand in hand with other teams including those responsible for cell-based assays, protein generation and pre-clinical pharmacology to ensure project goals and timelines are met
Provide regular updates in the form of presentations to the discovery project team
