As a Software Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the architecture and developing sophisticated software systems to combat modern ransomware threats. You will align technical solutions with business goals, confidently driving and "selling" your architectural vision across the organization.
You will:
Lead the design and architecture of high-quality, complex cybersecurity systems and anti-ransomware software environments.
Present, pitch, and "sell" architectural concepts to various audiences and stakeholders, utilizing highly persuasive and assertive communication skills.
Be an active, hands-on member of the lab, collaboratively realizing features through development, test, and delivery.
Mentor team members in design collaboration, code reviews, development tools, and processes while dynamically driving the team's technical vision.
Take part in the full software development life cycle including research, development, continuous delivery, and support.
Essential Requirements:
6+ years of hands-on software development experience.
At least 2+ years of proven experience in software architecture and leading the design of complex solutions.
Exceptional presentation and public speaking skills; a highly charismatic, assertive, and persuasive individual ("with a spark") who knows how to influence decisions.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a passion for the cybersecurity and ransomware domain.
Agility to adapt to new technologies and processes quickly.
Desirable Requirements:
Familiarity with malware behavior, endpoint security, identity/access management, data protection, or cryptography.
Previous experience working in an innovation lab or threat research environment.
