Develop and execute TEST plans for battery cells, modules, and packs (performance, lifecycle, safety, environmental). Support prototype builds and validation. Operate TEST equipment (cyclers, thermal chambers, power supplies, load banks, DAQ). Analyze data for capacity, efficiency, degradation, thermal behavior, and failures. Define procedures, acceptance criteria, and reports per requirements and standards. Perform abuse and safety testing. Investigate anomalies and root cause issues. Collaborate with engineering teams to correlate results with design. Maintain documentation, lab records, and calibration status.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience with battery testing at cell, module, or pack level.
Strong understanding of lithium-ion battery behavior, degradation mechanisms, and safety considerations.
Hands-on experience with battery TEST systems and lab equipment.
Ability to analyze and interpret large datasets using tools such as Python, MATLAB, or Excel.
Familiarity with battery management systems (BMS) and related measurements (voltage, current, temperature).
