Create and modify CAD models for parts/assemblies supporting design iteration. Run structural simulations (static, dynamic, vibration, fatigue, nonlinear). Drive simulation-based improvements in weight, cost, reliability. Collaborate with mechanical, thermal, electrical and system engineers. Build and validate high-fidelity models (materials, contacts, boundary conditions). Correlate simulation with TEST data and refine models/designs. Support product development from concept through prototyping, DVT/PVT and production. Apply DFM/DFA. Produce drawings, GD T and release documentation.
Requirements:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical.
Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, or similar).
Hands-on experience with CAE tools (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus, COMSOL, HyperWorks).
Experience designing real-world components.
Understanding of tolerances, fits, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Ability to connect simulation assumptions with practical design decisions.
