This role is focused on the North American market and will require at least two days per week working US hours.
Responsibilities
Own outbound prospecting – Generate high-quality sales opportunities through proactive, strategic prospecting and networking.
Target the right buyers – Identify and engage decision-makers in payments, finance, and growth-focused roles across B2B industries.
Cold outreach mastery – Drive engagement through cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn messaging, and other creative channels, with a focus on Enterprise and Mid-Market prospects.
Experiment & optimize – Continuously test messaging, channels, and approaches to improve conversion rates.
Collaborate with GTM teams – Work closely with the rest of the BD team as well as with Sales, Marketing, and other go-to-market teams to drive pipeline and ensure a smooth handoff of qualified leads.
Track & report – Maintain accurate records of outreach activity, engagement, and pipeline progression in our CRM.
Conferences & events – Represent Balance at relevant industry events and conferences.
3+ years of experience in outbound sales or business development within a B2B SaaS, fintech, or payments company (advantage)
Native-level English (spoken and written) – MUST
Background in strategy, consulting, or banking – advantage
Strong hunter mentality with resilience, curiosity, and the ability to thrive in a fast-changing environment
Proven ability to generate high-quality sales meetings through outbound prospecting
Familiarity with B2B payments, net terms, and credit solutions – advantage
Excellent communication and persuasion skills – you know how to get a response
Data-driven mindset – able to track performance and optimize based on results
Experience working with modern sales tools and CRM systems
