We are seeking a highly motivated, energetic, Electrical Engineer / Hardware Engineer to support our Silicon Photonics Engineering group in North Reading, MA. Development occurs in a dynamic and challenging global multi-site environment. However, this is an individual contributor position reporting to the SiPh Engineering Manager in North Reading.
Candidates will create innovative and sound technical solutions to complex engineering problems. They will also identify essential requirements and key technical risks. Candidates will work closely with Mechanical Engineers, Systems Engineers, and Optical Engineers to design solutions for New Product Introduction and High-Volume Manufacturing.

Requirements:
7+ years of experience
BS required, or advanced degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering or related technical field with relevant course study in: Electronics Design, Analog Hardware Design Circuit Analysis, Electromagnetics, Micro-Electronic Circuits, Logic Design, Signals Systems, Control Systems, and Motion Systems
Ability to generate system schematics and electrical diagrams
Ability to create cable and harness drawings
Ability to select OEM electrical components and sensors based upon requirements documentation
Experience with sensor interface systems, communications equipment and systems, controls equipment, power conditioning and electrical distribution systems
Experience with common lab bench equipment (Oscilloscopes, DMMs, Function Generators, etc)
Experience with industry standards such UL, CE, IEC, IPC, NFPA, SEMI, etc
