POSITION SUMMARY
Under close supervision, the Warehouse Operator III is responsible for accurate processing of materials including receiving, put away and shipping, which is not limited to unloading, scanning, moving, loading, picking, relocating and stacking product to support Companywide operations. Responsible for training new Warehouse operators I & II on best practices. The Warehouse Operator III is also responsible for meeting the company’s standards for safety, security and productivity.
Shift Details: This position requires availability for the second shift, starting at 11AM Monday-Friday. The shift duration can vary between 8 to 12 hours, depending on operational needs and is subject to change dependent on business needs. Current shift schedule is:
Monday: 11am to finish
Tuesday: 1pm- finish
Wednesday: 1pm – finish
Thursday: 12pm- finish
Friday: 1pm- finish
ESSENTIAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies, procedures, and state, federal and local laws.
Participates in training programs to develop and maintain proficiency in assigned duties and tasks.
Prepares orders for Shipping by Picking, Scanning and Packing in an accurate and timely manner.
Receive products from manufacturers and accurately record pertinent information.
Performs replenishment activities in a timely and efficient manner; compares product description to restocking requests form and physical location.
Stacks and stores materials in designated areas.
Conducts cycle counts and physical inventory as required.
Processes returns from customers; classifies back to stocks, damages and expired products.
Prepares debit memos going back to vendors.
Demonstrates reliability and commitments to work.
Demonstrates a proven track record and the ability to utilize good level of knowledge in more than one work group area to perform various duties related to receiving, processing and shipping customer orders, as well as managing inventory.
Active participation and support of safety initiatives and Safety Committee.
Operates hand lift, must be able to be certified in power fork lift operation.
Loads and unloads freight trucks
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Maintains tidiness and cleanliness in the warehouse.
Flexible, willing to work overtime when necessary.
Your experience and qualifications
Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.
Education/Certification/Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Pharmaceutical distribution experience and/or experience with distribution of perishable goods.
Minimum of one (1) year of Warehouse work experience.
Specialized knowledge of warehouse plans, methods, procedures, and techniques of material handling.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
Training and coaching other warehouse personnel.
Work as a team member; provide assistance and direction to team members, become a liaison between associates, leads and management.
Basic mathematical computations and applications.
Be willing to work overtime, report to work on time during normal business hours, special projects and Saturdays.
Communicating clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
Adapt to changes and various assignments.
Demonstrates a sense of urgency and promptness by using time efficiently and completing assignments on time.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Occasional:
Incumbents in this class are subject to extended periods of standing, walking pushing and pulling, stooping, crouching, climbing and walking, occasional lifting of equipment or materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
Incumbents may be exposed to electrical hazards, and dangerous tools and equipment.
It should be understood that this is a hands on position in a fast paced distribution center environment that has multiple daily receiving and shipping deadlines. The position can entail early morning, evening, and/or weekend work hours due to product launches, physical inventories or as the business dictates.
Visual Acuity:
Perform activities such as computer work, preparing and analyzing data, and extensive reading.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
May be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed on site visits (i.e. safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, etc.).
