The opportunity
The Talent and Organization Partners have a dual mission split across the design (Global Talent Management) and implementation (BU Role) of Global Talent Management Practices, Programs & Careers Development Framework.
As part of the Global Talent Management team, the Talent & Organization Partner has two key areas of responsibility:
The role partners the BUs and works with the respective GLT member to understand the business needs and identifies the talent and organization priorities that will drive growth.
This role also contributes to the development of our global Talent Management agenda and priorities, understanding the emerging needs and priorities of our global business, fertilizing new ideas and collaborating to develop new products, where no suitable solution exists (create once deploy many times).
How you’ll spend your day
The Talent & Org. Partner is the main go-to expert in the BU for all leadership and talent development matters. The responsibilities of this role will include deploying Global program, but also specifically defining the Talent & Organization agenda for the BU where together with the GLT the role will:
Lead BU internal & external Succession Strategy:
Collaborates with the GLT HRBP to set the BU specific Talent Management Strategy & Annual Talent and Organization Plan. This includes building a deep understanding of both internal and external talent pipelines (succession planning).
Develops trusted relationships via senior leadership Talent Forums across the BU, deepening knowledge of key senior talent and supports building development and succession plans for Key Talent and Roles.
Implement Leadership & Org. Development / Org. Design initiatives:
Works with the GLT HRBP to deploy the Talent Strategy across the BU and specifically for VPs+.
Designs and prepares content for Senior Leadership talent forums in partnership with relevant HRBPs – all aligned with the global framework & templates.
Design and implement Leadership Development programs / intervention per BU needs, with full alignment with global programs and plans.
Supports GLT HRBP to ensure the best organizational design in line with principles and external benchmarks.
Provide strategic guidance and support on talent-related matters and support the rollout and change management of global CoE initiatives (e.g. Talent Strategy) in partnership with BU HRBPs.
Builds fluency in data, understanding which metrics are important, where insights can be drawn and able to integrate into thinking and development of products and interventions.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of talent programs, using data and feedback to drive continuous improvement.
Collaborates and align across functions:
Aligns global, regional and local talent management solutions (where needed)
Works closely with other CoEs and HR colleagues (HR Tech, Total Reward, People Analytics, I&D, HRBPs), knowing the right people to connect & collaborate with to deliver the best outcomes with speed and involving all relevant stakeholders.
In some instances, these roles will lead or be part of a squad on a particular intervention on behalf of the whole HR function and CoEs, sourcing external insights, industry best practice and trends together with business context and strategy, speaking with BPs to understand context, challenges and practicalities of how the product /intervention needs to be developed and deployed for success and to meet business needs.
