The Senior scientist will report to the Director, Discovery and Validation in the Research and Drug Discovery group.
The candidate will be responsible for leading all protein science activities and managing antibodies developability activities toward antibody lead selection.
The candidate will lead multidisciplinary activities in the field of protein science ranging from early R&D development through pre-clinical validation, contribution his/her expertise to all projects in the pipeline.
The candidate is expected to demonstrate creative/out of the box thinking, propose original solutions to complex problems, conceive new scientific hypotheses that support drug discovery effort, establish new capabilities, and provide scientific leadership to biochemical characterization of protein and antibodies in the group. Managing all protein science related activities and execute protein related characterization.
Develop different biochemical assays for antibody characterization
Perform different biochemical assays for antibody characterization (Western blot, ELISA)
Perform and lead antibody and protein production in house
Establish SPR capabilities in house
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely progress of research projects according to pipeline prioritization
