The opportunity
As the Senior Director of Business Development you will be responsible for supporting the generics and biosimilars businesses of Teva globally, with focus on Teva's US business, through pursuing and execution of generic and biosimilar pharmaceutical products’ licensing-in and co-development projects, to complement Teva's broad product portfolio, and other business development activities. Your role will also include pursuing and executing projects aimed at optimizing Teva’s portfolio, also through product acquisitions, divestments, and co-marketing. The position includes identifying and evaluating products' licensing and other business development opportunities, identifying and building relationships with potentially strategic partners for implementing business development projects, leading due diligence and negotiations procedures and leading such processes in coordination with relevant functions within Teva to deal finalization.
You will contribute to Teva’s growth, primarily in the US market, through expanding Teva’s network of potential business development partners and increasing the number of opportunities brought to assessment of senior management, by initiating discussions with companies you have engaged with in the past and strengthening the relationships with companies Teva currently works with.
How you’ll spend your day
Manage, coordinate and execute negotiations of licensing and other business development deals, including coordination between relevant functions within Teva, through impactful project leadership
Coordinate and execute due diligence activities to support business development deals
Guiding and mentoring other team members
Analyze and evaluate all commercial, legal and technical aspects of business development opportunities, in cooperation with other departments, including: Portfolio, Operations, Legal, R&D, and finance
Drive strengthening of relationships with key business development partners, through: a) better positioning of Teva as a partner of choice in the industry; b) increased synergies and leverage of Teva’s size in negotiating with 3rd parties; c) superb alignment between Teva’s business units and global functions for effective and efficient deal process; and d) ongoing coordination between partners and internal Teva functions at the project and strategic levels
Ability to travel up to 30% of the time when needed
