What youll be doing:
Work closely with design teams on configuring, qualifying and assessing mechanical reliability and integrity of new critical electro-mechanical and opto-mechanical components.
Take a leading position in task-forces/failure-analysis. Investigate reliability issues and provide practical solutions for implementation.
Able to formulate and conduct DOEs, examine corner conditions, and apply statistical analysis tools.
Actively participate in technical industrial spec committees (such as OCP, PCIe, SFF, MSA, IEEE).
What we need to see:
B.Sc. (or higher degree) in Mechanical Engineering.
8+ years of experience in working with or development of high-speed connectivity solutions including connectors, sockets, twinax cables and optical fibers.
High awareness for quality and manufacturability, and understanding of statistical tolerance analysis techniques, CTF dimensioning, and geometric tolerancing.
Self-motivated autodidact, with strong problem-solving drive.
Strong presentation and communication skills both in Hebrew and English.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Experience in electro-mechanical product design, including PCB/PCBA design.
Experience in working with supply chains, contract manufacturers and leading resources such as consultants, component suppliers, contractors, and manufacturing partners.
Strong statistical and data-analysis background (JMP or other tools).
Experience with CAD and mechanical stress simulation tools (such as ANSYS).
Experience in formulating design methodologies, industrial specifications and supervising implementation and training.
