This role is to commence in Term 2 2024. The role is Monday to Friday 10:00am to 3:15pm. (Education Support Services 0.62 FTE)

It Is Expected That The Successful Applicant
* treat illnesses and injuries of students
* possess the technical knowledge, skills and expertise relevant to working as a healthcare professional in a school
* effectively record and track treatment incidents in required school documentation
* maintain records of all medication or treatment
* liaise with relevant staff including the Principal, Wellbeing Team, Office staff and teachers regarding required medical treatment of students as necessary and treat all student information as strictly confidential
* maintain all First Aid supplies to both the classrooms and the First Aid Room
* administer the collection and collation of material related to student health and medical management plans
* prepare and update medical and anaphylaxis alerts
* communicate effectively with parents with regards to affected students
* meet with parents to create or update medical plans or health plans when required.
The Successful Applicant Must
* Hold a current qualification and experience as either a Registered Nurse (RN) an Enrolled Nurse (EN), or as a First Aid Officer
* If applying as a nurse be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia overseen by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* If applying as a First Aid Officer, have all current Advanced First Aid certificates as well as current Anaphylaxis training and diabetes training completed.
* Hold a current WWCC and valid Police Check.
