Main Responsibilities
Responsible for the preparation of timely, accurate, and relevant financial statements according to Swiss Code of Obligations (quarterly and monthly), and review/approve the US GAAP closes (monthly, quarterly, and annually) performed by Global Business Services (GBS) teams.
Support weekly, monthly and quarterly cash flow forecasts
Perform balance sheet reconciliations, and review accounts to ensure all financial transactions are properly reflected in the books of record
Supervise the work performed by the GBS Teams.
Respond to queries from Corporate Accounting (HQ) and various departments
Prepare tax calculation and tax returns, including current income taxes, VAT returns, and deferred tax calculations.
Manage payroll recharges to various Teva entities, collaborate with HR on questions regarding social security, pensions, Stock-Option process
Manage and prepare internal and external audits, and optimize internal processes
Own ICS matrix
Perform and document SOX controls
Review & Approve journal entries
Responsible for US GAAP Pension Accounting (defined benefit)
Complete government reports (i.e. Bundesamt für Statistik)
Perform analysis on P&L and Balance Sheet and explain fluctuations
Manage royalty process for incoming and outgoing royalties
Support global projects across functions (SAP, Ariba, Group Reporting, Collaboration agreements)
Requirements
Studies in Finance and Accounting, or equivalent commercial education
7 – 10 years of relevant work experience as Swiss accountant; including US-GAAP, and/or IFRS and monthly closings
Knowhow of Swiss Code of Obligations and VAT
Very strong Analytical Skills
SAP experience (FICO) is a must; Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially EXCEL
Fluency in English, any other languages are advantageous
Structured, organized, and flexible within a dynamic environment
Attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture
Project Management experience a plus
