In this role, you will:
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including customer agreements, vendor agreements, partnership/referral/consulting agreements, and NDAs.
Enhance Empathys privacy program to comply with various privacy laws and regulations (such as CCPA, Israeli privacy laws, HIPAA) and provide ongoing guidance on data protection and privacy issues.
Collaborate closely with teams across the organization (such as Product, R&D, Partner Success) to address legal needs and implement best practices.
Build out Empathys legal roadmap for entering new markets and execute roadmap implementation.
Prepare employment-related documents and provide guidance on U.S. employment law matters.
Advise on corporate legal matters such as corporate governance. ● Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.
Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant laws and regulations affecting the companys operations.
Bachelor's law degree and qualification to practice law in Israel or in the U.S.
2+ years of commercial law experience in a commercial or hi-tech department at a law firm, or serving as in-house counsel at a tech company.
Experience and comfort with drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
Mastery of English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Familiarity with privacy laws and regulations (such as CPRA, U.S. state laws, HIPAA) an advantage.
Corporate legal experience an advantage
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
