The Opportunity:
A great opportunity has arisen for a seasoned and strategic General/Country Manager for Russia, who will determine the strategic vision for the organization and for the management and total profitability of the company.
This role reports to the EVP, International Markets Regional Commercial Lead. This position has responsibility for managing both our Russian P&L and 3 other geographic P&L’s: KZ/ OCIS & Turkey (The Cluster covers 13 countries – RU/KZ/TUR/OCIS (x10) and 900 FTE within the Cluster (Russia 660/ KZ-OCIS 120/ Turkey 110). This role will have 13 Direct reports to the function as follows:
Commercial functions: Marketing/Sales/ Operations x3 (BD/ portfolio – RA/QA/ Clinical trials – SC)
Central Support functions: Finance/ HR/ Legal/ Compliance (not reporting to function) – these 4 functions are both Russian & Cluster Leads
Commercial Support functions: GAMA/ Medical Affairs/ Data & Strategy
The Leadership team is well established, highly performing and professional, resilient and collaborative.
Responsibilities:
Responsibility for the full range of activities affecting the company and all range of products selling by the company though distributors.
Establishes current and long-range objectives and sets adequate operating plans for future developments.
Has strategic responsibilities covering finance, marketing and sales and allocate resources in line with corporate requirements and balance between short- and long-term objectives – to achieve the balance between short- and long-term objectives.
Represents the company and its values in its relationships with major customers, suppliers, commercial and investment groups and professional bodies focused to development of “customers’” satisfaction and sales growth.
Profit and loss responsibility for the business in Russia.
Has line supervision over two profits centers defined on a products basis (OTC and RX products).
Management of a team of 8 Senior Managers (Heads of Departments) though setting objectives for departments and managing their performance against objectives.
Overall control of the day-to-day operation of the organization’s process. Formulates and implements operations policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency. Clarifies and corrects any procedural problems.
Decide on the positioning of company products after receiving marketing analysis and suggest the headquarters on the launching of new products on the Russian market.
